Where Do We Go From Here?
Here we are at the Covenant America Conference with Sheriff Mack, Ray Kish and Laurie Kish in Kansas City. I was asked to speak before Glenn Beck in one of the break out sessions. For those of you who were unable to make it to the conference, you can watch the talk I gave here:
I have seen government programs suspended by strikes, but I never thought I would see a day when people would be punished and even threatened with arrest if they offer their services voluntarily to help others and ease the stress. Usually during tumultuous times the beauty of the American Spirit rises up and we prove that we can and will take care of ourselves.
With so much daily news on the partial government shutdown and the vindictive, even going as far as to attacking the right for the military to worship, behavior coming out of Washington DC, it’s time for some good news.
There are some folks who know how to get the train back on the tracks. When others are ducking and disengaging, we can make a solid case for staying in the process. The percentage of registered voters among church going Christians is dismal. Yet, there are rules on which we operate in our civilization. We owe it to ourselves and our posterity to involve ourselves within those rules to be a conscience and a force for positive change.
So long as we play within the rules, it is good for us to come on board and renew our involvement in the process. It is wrong for us to stand back and watch things deteriorate if we know how to correct the situation. Many people claim Biblical authority for advocating pacifism. They believe that the Bible predicts doom, so we should just sit back and let it go to pot while trusting that God will correct all the wrongs when we get to “the other side of the Jordan”.
However, taken as a whole, the Bible requires us to stand for justice. Justice demands activism. Evil will get out of control when good people stand by doing nothing. Many third world cultures act as live demonstrations of how corrupt governments ravage their own citizens. It can happen anywhere citizens lose their vigilance, desire and ability to fight. During World War II, the majority cooperated with the Nazis. The Nazis didn’t use guns to load the Jews on the trains, they used lies. We must learn from history and promote the truth wherever, whenever and however any opportunity presents itself.
There are some folks like Sheriff Mack, Chuck Baldwin and others who understand the constitution and will stand for justice, but we need more. There are more out there, but we must all stand up to be counted. Glenn Beck offers us a description of the corruption embedded into current political leadership. It is hard to get good people elected because many Christians don’t vote and those who do tend to put selfish interests above godliness and justice.
Here’s what we do know:
1.) There are still good people out there.
2.) God can bless us, but we have to make ourselves available to be part of the solution.
3.) We can all do something.
4.) As long as we are all here on this planet together, I am not going away!
Here’s what you can do:
1.) Stay brave, honorable and valiant in your sphere of influence.
2.) Continue letting me inform you with my weekly newsletters and forward them onto your friends who need to be informed.
3.) Listen to my pod-cast tonight with Chuck Baldwin.
4.) Offer me your thoughts on what you want to see your government do. I am here to fight for your values, but I need your input on where I am needed most.

A Little Bit of Humor
“I’m glad the government has shut down. Think about it. For the first time in years, it’s safe to talk on the phone and send email messages without anybody listening in.” –Jay Leno
