Merry Christmas

This was taken a few years ago when we were getting ready to pass out candy canes in a Christmas parade. This box of candy canes was a special surprise gift from a friend and it still makes me smile to remember all the blessings of that year! (Our daughter, Susanna, is helping me here.)

This is a picture of my son, Philip, when he played the part of a shepherd in a Christmas production. He took time out of his role to smile for his mother. WHAT YOU CAN DO

This says it all…Keep Christ in Christmas. While the Atheists are trying to show how much they hate God (who they say doesn’t exist), we continue to model for the world what love, joy and peace look like. Keeping Christ in Christmas is about loving God, our Country and our neighbors enough to reflect His truth and shine His light. It might be too much to ask for world peace this year…but we can all create peace in our own corner of the world and in our hearts. It’s hard to understand why there are some who want to be hateful, and upend our culture with their negative attacks, but we don’t have to allow them to drain our happiness or disrupt our way of life. There are still more of us than them!

We all have a part to play! Don’t let the condition of our country take you down. We all are stars in our own way. It is our obligation to “fan the flame of our gifts.” We all function as a conscience for our communities. There is no greater joy than to have peace with God and know we are making a difference in our world.
