Happy Thanksgiving
One of the parts of Thanksgiving I enjoy the most is the political discussions we have around the table. We can certainly thank our President and Congress for providing us with plenty of content for this year’s conversation!
Don’t be afraid of these loud discussions. Some people might be tempted to cower in the corner, but so long as we are respectful, these can be very powerful and teachable moments. A well timed conversation may move our country to a more intelligent and productive place. We can make a difference, one Thanksgiving table at a time.
As we get ready to celebrate Thanksgiving, we thank God for all the blessings He has given us, including YOU! Thank you for faithfully reading my newsletters each week. A double thank you goes to those who write me back encouraging me. I read each and every one of your responses.
One of the best parts of our Thanksgiving
May your Thanksgiving be as joyous as ours!

NO REFUGEES. None of you care about our safety, only yr political party. No vote here next time.
Stop sending me yr ‘blah blah blah’ emails. A lot of BS

Beautiful family.
We had our Thanksgiving early this year, and yes, plenty of politicial discussion thanks to Obama.Hard to believe he (and his sycophants) would trade the safety of fellow citizens in favor of some dogmatic and selfish ideological self-destructive policy. The difference between them and us: we would allow…and support–their right to lend all kinds of assistance. They, on the other hand, want to compromise our security to satisfy their desire. One allows freedom for both sides; the other requires the tacet coercion of those opposed.
Wouldn’t assistance be better targeted on site rather than wasted on transplanting refugees to a dissimilar culture 1000s of miles away?
Will they receive all immunizations? Will they require taxpayer assistance here? Why is the language barrier considered a non-issue? Will the vetting be any better than it was for the Tsarnaev’s?…Maj. Hassan?…Bergdahl?…Benghazi’s political climate?….the Libyans who WERE supposed to be protecting the consulate?…
