Chick-fil-A
The left is having a heyday criticizing all conservative organizations with hopes to change our culture. Using bully tactics, its goal is to bring harm to not only Chick-fil-A, but after being successful, moving on to other targets. No church, individual or philanthropic organization is safe.
Chick-fil-A was more about the environment, Christian music and polite staff than only the food. Many people supported it for larger reasons. When presented with a choice, many good, family-oriented people wanted to support Chick-fil-A as a statement of voting with their pocketbooks.
Before you vow to never go to Chick-fil-A again over its revised donation strategy, I have some good news that should help us “cool our jets”.
Some people are worried because Chick-fil-A is no longer donating to the Salvation Army or the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Fine. You can donate to them yourself. We are not a Socialist country and the nature of a donation is that it’s done out of our own freewill. That’s why it’s called a “donation”. You have the freedom to make a difference with whatever organization best resonates with your heart! So does everyone else and every other corporation as well!
Every Chick-fil-A restaurant I know is an independently owned franchise that supports its local community however it sees fit. The decisions being made at their corporate offices do not affect donations made by each individual restaurant.
Some homosexual activists are trying to turn a fast food restaurant chain into a referendum on how we feel about religious issues. Do you think people and corporations should be able to donate their own private money wherever they want? Here’s an article that provides a few more facts.
1.) It’s possible that the homosexual activists are boasting about this as a victory in an effort to alienate the Chick-fil-A customer base. If this is true, we cannot let them win. Last week a report showed Chick-fil-A was the third-largest fast-food chain in this Country. It only makes sense that bitter and angry activists would strategize a way to tear Chick-fil-A down.
2.) Most people just want a quiet and peaceful environment with high-quality food. Chick-fil-A has always welcomed everyone to eat at its restaurants. We cannot allow the intolerance of the left to engage us in its toxic world. This Country was built on a Biblical platform of love, acceptance, and kindness. We refuse to allow one small, godless group to destroy our happiness by attempting to change the narrative.
3.) The larger issue here is not about Chick-fil-A. It’s about bullying. The only way to stop a bully is to stand up to the bully’s tactics. As long as they are making forward progress, they will continue, expand and move onto other targets.
Their goal is not to just take down Chick-fil-A. Their goal is to take down churches, Christian businesses, strong families, Biblical values….and ultimately our Western Civilization.
Are you still eating at Chick-fil-A?
WHAT YOU CAN DO…
1.) Don’t stop eating! Especially, don’t miss out on Chick-fil-A to cause them financial harm based on rumors.
2.) Donate to the charity of your choice! This week you may want to donate to the misison of helping with the expenses of Home Front. Donations are not tax-deductible, but they are much appreciated! We don’t have online donation format, but you can mail a check to: Cynthia Davis — Home Front 840 Satinwood Place, Crestwood, MO 63126
3.) Have a happy Thanksgiving and know that I am thanking God for all of you!

On our show today, we talk with a mom, Joyce Smith, about her story that happened right here in Lake St. Louis. I remember it as it was unfolding first-hand. It should help all of us to be reminded that sometimes it takes a miracle.

A LITTLE BIT OF HUMOR

Yes, but only to let Mgr. know we will not be back if they continue down the LGBT rabbit rail. Love the sinner but hate the sin. This is straight out of the Saul Alinsky- Rules For Radicals book. Pit children against their parents, families against the church, weaken the church by accepting “tolerance”. Make gov’t the source and provider of our rights instead of our creator.
Ted Baker
I wish we had a Chick-fil-A in our town. If we did, I would eat there. Thank you for your good article. We as conservatives need to stand by those who have stood up to bullying. Let’s not be so fickle as some appear to be.
Kathy Koeneman
Yes, we will, at first I was irritated they caved, but after your article I see a different point. Thank you for your insight.
Barb Paton
Thank you! Your article brings together much of what I’ve been trying to put into words. Sadly, it seems that Christians in our world are primed to jump on every issue on appearance rather than on substance. I admit, I was falling into the trap of seeing a headline and being ready to “battle,” but I have learned to practice “the pause.” I realize that The Press is a tool that both God and Satan will use for their purposes and we need to be alert and sober-minded to Satan’s tactics of seeking someone to devour. Rather than jumping into the early “battle” take time to prayerfully discern reality and then decide.

Thank you for positive outlook. Couldn’t agree more.

I will no longer be using CFA as an option for my food source.
Margaret
CFA is not prejudice. Would you give to an organization that attacks you? I’m 70 and every year laid out a large Thanksgiving meal for my (family). The past 2 years my family (grown daughters) started fighting and created a big rucus. Last year, I literally had to tell them I was not cooking and told them why… It broke my heart to do this but as a mother, I hoped it would make them stop and think, maybe, change their habit of throwing stones. Yes, there is a time to say ‘no’ firmly, yet still love them. To ignore their actions, would mean I didn’t care.

Sooner now, rather than later, Our culture will be the sifting tool of Christ to find who will be faithful and who will fold.

We recently took a five day trip and ate at Chick Fil A three times. The food was o.k, the envirinment was friendly but what kept us going back was we were part of something bigger then ourselves we were helping make a statement.??
Margaret
Cynthia, thank you sooo much for informing people with the truth about Chick-Fil-A in regards to their recent change of donations! You are indeed a great warrior for the cause of Christ/Christianity…you are always so busy giving to others because you truly care…pray you and your family have a very peaceful/enjoyable Thanksgiving…bless you and thank you for touching my life as well
Nita
Yes, we are still going to continue eating at Chic-fila
Love the food and the positive atmosphere and smiles there.?
Marilyn J Willman
Yes! I love Chick-fil-A. I am so happy that every time I go there, the drive-thru line is so long that you can’t even get in the parking lot. God bless Chick-fil-A for standing up for righteousness!!
Brad
I haven’t ate at Chick Fil A for years. I applied for a franchise. I was treated rudely and disrespectfully. My application was refused and the refusal letter was an unsigned email. It took me hours of effort to compile the information they wanted for a beginning application.
There is no possible way they were inundated with applications to the point of not being able to sign an actual letter. I provided financial information, resume, background & etc.. I’ve owned multi-location stores before. I’m financially sound. I know of no-one that questions my honesty & integrity.
The way they treated me made me doubt their status as believers. It was an amazing experience. My inquiry as to why I was refused was answered with another unsigned form letter. They didn’t even have the class to send me a letter drafted to my individual situation.
They treated a friend, the same way.
The people who own the locations appear to be pretty awesome. I love the employees at the stores.
I think in the end, you’re going to find that the owners of Chick Fil A are not true believers and have only taken advantage of an advertising niche.
Chuck Williams
I was very disappointed that Chick Fil A corporate gave in to the demands of the left. Your article helped me take a deep breath and see things from a different perspective. However I still disagree with their decision, but I don’t want people telling me who I can or cannot donate my money to. So I will continue to support Chick Fil A as much as possible as I have in the past. Thanks for sharing your perspective.
Lonnie Randolph
The goal is to normalize homosexuality…..The Chic folks are still heroes and a model for free market success. I can’t figure why they need to tell us to whom they donate…Is that not a private matter…How did it make the news?
Barbara
Yes

Here is more to the story. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I am afraid I will find find their fine food hard to swallow.
The tax filing reporting the donation to SPLC was posted online by Propublica, noted Ryan Bomberger of Townhall.com.
Perkins said Wednesday: “Not only has Chick-fil-A abandoned donations to Christian groups including the Salvation Army, it has donated to one of the most extreme anti-Christian groups in America. Anyone who opposes the SPLC, including many Protestants, Catholics, Jews, Muslims, and traditional conservatives, is slandered and slapped with the ‘extremist’ label or even worse, their ‘hate group’ designation. At one point, the SPLC even added Dr. Ben Carson to its ‘extremist’ list because of his biblical views (and only took him off the list after public outcry).”

I will always continue to eat at Chick fil la! In fact I live near Iowa City, Iowa
and there is a taco business that just closed on a great spot and the previous
owner said that they were looking into his site . I sure hope they do. The only
other place in Iowa City is the Coralville Mall – I only get there when shopping.
which I dont much of. So I go when the parking and place isn’t as crowded.
Keep the faith, don’t let them get to you.
