• Better Days Ahead

We're celebrating my dad's birthday this week, but we all have something to contribute. Every birthday is a statement that the world should go on with us!

It’s easy to become discouraged when we look at the condition of the Country and the economy.  However, we have some bright spots that warrant your focus.

Now that the campaign is over, my schedule is freed up to do more of the activities that can make a big difference.  One I enjoy most is public speaking.  Please let me know if you have an event where you would like me to speak:

Have you ever been discouraged about where we are as a Nation, where the church is today in America or where you are personally? I have some good news for you. When you listen to Home Front today you will hear some real life examples of happy endings. These stories will give you the strength to press on to the end.

We interview Chuck Tate, author of the book, 41 Will Come.

  • The Home Front

We took a day off of politics to have a little fun at the Muny on a beautiful summer night in St. Louis.

Now that we have the primaries behind us, it’s time to re-prioritize what’s really important.  What’s happening on the inside of your home matters every bit as much as what happens on the outside—possibly more so.

We are going through a time of adjustment to the new reality that our Country is shifting to the left.  I asked my credentialed philosopher son to explain to me why this is so.  He said this is what happens when Christians stay home.  A lot of people wore themselves out to preserve the Nation, discovered that we lost many races to those on the left, gave up and quit.

When the outside world is a mess, what can we do to compose our own haven of peace?

In order to have balance in our lives, sometimes we have to step away from the political cesspool and find our own peace in our own places.  Have you ever wanted a cleaner house, a more organized house and a more happy family?  There’s a right way and a wrong way to approach it.  On our show today we talk about how to have a truly Martha home in a Mary way. You’ll come away with some gems to help you feel better about everything you’re doing.

On today’s edition of Home Front, we interview Sarah Mae.  Sarah Mae is a writer who encourages women to keep on and begin again. She is a wife, mom, homeschool teacher, conference founder, speaker, and piecrust botcher. She makes her home in the beautiful Amish countryside of Pennsylvania, where she often ponders what life would be like if she actually finished all the laundry. Author of the book, Having a Martha Home the Mary Way.

  • What Next?

This is a picture of my grandson, Joey, just after his mother voted.  One of the poll workers asked if she could hold the baby while my daughter went to vote.  When she was finished voting, this is what the baby looked like!  You have to love those St. Charles County election judges!

Some of you are trying to process what just happened last week.  The voters demonstrated what is important to them.  Most of the candidates who were higher on the moral, conservative and Constitutional scale lost to bigger government candidates.  There were a few exceptions, but in every election there are always electoral disappointments that sadden me even beyond my own.

There is no question our Country is shifting to the Left end of the political spectrum.  The question remains how we should deal with this new reality.  My deepest gratitude goes to my family and my faithful volunteers.  They walked with me in five parades, painted floats, put up signs all night long, cooked us meals, collected money at our fundraisers, designed our website, posted new content on our website, made video recordings, sent out newsletters and —most importantly—prayed for me.  That was huge.

  • Fire Congress!

    Fire Congress 1

This is a picture of us at one of our five parades we were in this year.  The dozens of volunteers who came out to help with all of our parades were the best in the Country!

We’ve had a lot of fun trying to make a difference.  Here is a last message I have for anyone who may still be undecided:
    # 1
    # 2

So…are you able to vote for me tomorrow?  Let me know by leaving a comment below.

  • Let’s Improve Our Country!

This photo was taken at our Family Farm Barbecue we had last Saturday.  From Left to Right:  Gregory Thompson, Coach Dave Daubenmire, Chris Clegg and myself.  The Coach gave us a pep-talk.  Even if you couldn't attend, I want you to enjoy his message.

One of my friends asked me if he always yells like that, but when you consider that he’s a football coach, it makes perfect sense.  Just pretend  you’re on the football team and this is half-time.

Want some encouragement?  For those of you who may be suffering from an overdose of watching political party conventions with all the theatrics, conflicted values and divided loyalties, I have good news.  The Missouri Republican Assembly is a grassroots movement willing to flush out the RINOs and endorse true conservatives, who believe in small government, lower taxes, free market capitalism, a strong defense, the right to life, and a decent America.

    They just endorsed me!
