If
you ever need help and call my office in Foster
Grandparents Program
Yesterday
I had the privilege of presenting a speech and a resolution to the
foster grandparents. This is a program that connects senior
volunteers with needy students. Just as there are different
kinds of needs, there are many different ways of filling those
needs. Instead of sitting in front of the TV or playing Bingo
all day, these senior citizens are investing their time and lives in
making a difference in others. I
applaud all of these volunteers who give their time and talent to
connect with our younger generation in ways that will help them
overcome problems and become productive members of our
society. Sometimes a little extra encouragement and support is
all that is necessary to make a difference in the life of a
child.
I enjoyed
interacting with Millie Ocasio (r). She is the Foster Grandparent

“No
matter how big government gets, and no matter how many services it
